The study comprised a baseline survey, followed by 10 days of ESM surveys where participants received 8 ESM surveys each day. At each ESM survey, participants were randomly assigned to a mindfulness intervention or an active control task and then responded to 15 ESM items. Therefore, all participants received either the intervention or control task on different ESM occasions.
